Alfred Bennett

Bennett, Alfred William. Mus.B. (Oxon, 1825). Pupil of his father. Organist of New College Chapel, Oxford, 1825-30; the University Church, Oxford, 1825-30. Son of Thomas Bennett; brother of Henry R. Bennett. Composed church music. bap. England, Mar. 24th, 1805; d. Oxford, Sep. 12th, 1830 (injuries sustained whilst falling from a stage coach, en-route to the Worcester Music Festival).
