James Shaw

Shaw, James (Fallas). Pupil of R. S. Burton. Organist of St. John’s (Episcopal), Edinburgh, Scotland; St. Paul’s, Edinburgh; St. Mary’s Collegiate Church, Warwick, England, 1864; Hampstead Parish Church, London, 1894-; the Collegiate Chapel of St. John, Clapham, London. Conducted the Edinburgh Choral Union, Scotland, 1862-63. Composed church music, songs, piano music, &c. Father of Dr Geoffrey Shaw and Dr Martin Shaw. b. Leeds, England, 1842; d. Ramsgate, May 12th, 1907.
