Dr F. W. Wadely

Wadely, Dr Frederick (Frederic) William. M.A., Mus.D. (Cantab), Mus.B., O.B.E., F.R.C.O., Hon.A.R.C.M. Pupil of Dr C. Swinnerton Heap; studied at the Royal College of Music, London, under Sir Walter Parratt and Sir Charles V. Stanford. Organist of Wolverly Parish Church, 1895-1900; organ scholar at Selwyn College, Cambridge, 1900-03; organist of St. Andrew’s, Uxbridge, 1903-04; Malvern Priory, 1904-10; Carlisle Cathedral, 1910-60. Conducted the Carlisle Choral Society; music teacher. Son of W. E. Wadely. b. Kidderminster, England, July 30th, 1882; d. Carlisle, May 28th, 1970.
