Wagner, Ernst David. Studied at the Royal Institute for Church Music, Berlin, under August W. Bach; the Royal Academy, Berlin, under Rungenhagen. Organist in Neustettin, 1827; of St. Matthew’s, Berlin, 1838; Holy Trinity, Berlin, 1848. Royal music director in Berlin, 1858. Composed an oratorio, church music, organ and piano pieces, songs, &c. b. Dramburg, Pomerania, Germany, Feb. 18th, 1806; d. Berlin, May 4th, 1883.
